Juan Carlos Ordoñez Jiménez

Costa Rican biologist graduated from the Universidad Latina de Costa Rica, with emphasis on Sustainable Development and Ecology. Around 21 years of experience in observing wild white-faced monkeys (Cebus imitator). From July 2017 to the present, I work with the Taboga Capuchin Research Project (CAT), in the Taboga Forest Reserve, Costa Rica, as the person in charge of the habituation stage of groups of monkeys, collecting behavioral data, and vocalizations. In addition to collecting ecological data, I assist in logistics and data collection during experiments with platforms; likewise in the organization and execution during sound reproduction (playbacks); I also contribute to the management decision-making of the Taboga Forest Reserve and the National Technical University farm. I am also in charge of research permits and the export of biological samples.
