Welcome to the Capuchinos de Taboga project! Capuchinos de Taboga is a long-term research project studying the behavior and cognition of wild white-faced capuchins in the Taboga forest reserve of Costa Rica. Capuchinos de Taboga is an international collaboration between the University of Michigan, Emory University, the Universidad Téchnica Nacional (UTN) in Costa Rica, and the Sistema Nacional de Areas de Conservación (SINAC). Co-directed by Dr. Marcela Benítez, Dr. Jacinta Beehner, and Dr. Thore Bergman, this project fosters an international network of scientific researchers and collaborative relationships between the U.S. and Costa Rica.
