I am a Ph.D. Candidate at the University of Michigan in Dr. Andy Marshall Lab. I also work with Dr. Jacinta Beehner and Dr. Marcela Benítez. I completed by BS at Duke University in Evolutionary Anthropology and Environment Science. My past work includes primate behavioral ecology in diverse taxa including lemurs, blue monkeys, and chimpanzees. I am broadly interested in primate physiology and microbiomes. My current research focuses on the intersection of the gut microbiome and host physiology including the stress and immune response. At Taboga, I focus on fecal and urine collection as well as feeding observation to evaluate diet. I utilize the Taboga Research Lab to measure biomarkers in field samples using assay analysis. When I’m not doing research I enjoy outside activities and I love to exercise. You may also find me with a paintbrush or embroidery thread working on something colorful and nature-inspired.
