I am the platforms field assistant working at the Capuchinos de Taboga (CAT) fieldsite. I arrived at Taboga in August 2023 after working with rhesus macaques in Puerto Rico and howler monkeys in Costa Rica. I help conduct cognition experiments on wild white-faced capuchins, collect behavioral data and biological samples, organize individual and group life history, and assist with managerial camp duties. I find I learn something new about the forest every day. One of my favorite pastimes is watching the capuchins’ social interactions play out as the sun rises through the forest’s canopy.
